#116: Inside jokes – paper jam/toner’s out

We have a running private dialog.  I bet many couples do.  Ours is silly. For example, the latest is “Paper jam/toner’s out.”  It derives from a recent commercial where two co-workers get amorous in the copy room and when they come out they try to explain themselves.  One says paper jam.  The other simultaneously says toner’s out.  Why my husband and I have decided to speak to each other through such expressions escapes me.  But we do and it’s fun.  So I’ll be upstairs and yell down “Paper Jam” and he’ll yell back “Toner’s Out.”  It’s like our own private Marco Polo.  Go figure.
