One morning we were sitting on the couch.  I was finishing my coffee and watching the morning news.  I needed to get upstairs to get ready for work.

“Hold me, I’m going up,” I said.

“I held you earlier!” he said.

Now that’s love. 🙂

One day when I was just being myself but my husband thought I was being annoying:

“You make me out to be a horrible, crazy, annoying person,” I said.

“I don’t make you out to be anything.  I just tell it like it is,” he said.

🙂

Just Annoying!

#272: Movie Mondays – Crazy Stupid Love February 27, 2012

Crazy, Stupid, Love.

Year: 2011

Genre: Comedy/Drama/Romance

Description from IMDb: A middle-aged husband’s life changes dramatically when his wife asks him for a divorce. He seeks to rediscover his manhood with the help of a new-found friend Jacob, learning to pick up girls at bars.

Wife: I found this to be a really sweet, uplifting, and funny movie.  It was very much about family. It had a great plot and was surprisingly good. Needless to say, great actors.  What a cast!

Husband: Although I had picked this out for my wife, I didn’t think I would like it.  But, I found myself entertained by it.  I like Steve Carell. I cared about the characters, sometimes negatively.  I didn’t like Julianne Moore’s character at all.

Husband-Wife Compatibility Score: 9

#271: Come look at Bella! February 24, 2012

“Come look at Bella!” I said to my husband.  Bella, one of our two cats, was in my closet sitting on the floor looking so cute.  She’s not supposed to be in my closet because she likes to use it as a bathroom.  That made it extra funny and cute to me. It was like she was just sitting there quietly thinking I wouldn’t notice. I like to point out funny and cute things to my husband (in order that he’s never deprived).  So, as he was walking out of the bedroom I said,  “Come look at Bella!”  He did not look amused.  As he walked over towards the closet he said, “She better be juggling or something.”

That husband.  🙂

#270: Kitchen Table February 23, 2012

If the kitchen is the heart of a house, the kitchen table is the heartbeat.

I love a kitchen table.  When we first moved into our house, we didn’t think we had room for a kitchen table.  We don’t have much cabinet space so we opted for an open shelved pantry instead.  After being here almost a year, I just couldn’t take it any more.  I longed for a kitchen table.

One day I came home from work and my husband had set one up.  It made me so happy!  It’s tiny and cozy and oh so sweet.  We all love it.  Even the cats!  🙂

#269: 70’s Commercial February 22, 2012

Kissing in the FieldRemember those commercials from the 70’s with the couple in the summer field running towards each other ending in a warm and loving embrace?  Well I have one of those stories.  Almost.  Last night husband  and I met at a metro stop on the platform. When I got off the train I looked for him on the platform.  At first I didn’t see him, but then further down the platform, as if through the mist, he appeared.  He looked so handsome in his blue coat and red scarf.  Although we walked to each other, not ran, it was a sweet moment. It ended in a warm and loving embrace.

The morning after when we woke up, I said “I was so happy to see you on the platform.”

He said, “When I saw you I said `Oh no. It’s my wife.'”

Just like the commercial.  🙂
