I Love This Husband & Wife Stuff

#359: A Tribute to My Brother and His Wife May 24, 2012

First of all, I really love these two people.  My brother is a funny, smart, loyal and loveable guy.  My sister-in-law is sweet, quirky, God-loving and so fun to be with.  I am blessed that these two favorite people of mine are married to each other.  My brother gave me one of my closest friends!

My brother and his wife danced their first wedding dance to Louis Armstrong’s What A Wonderful World almost 17 years ago.  It was a beautiful choice.

Last weekend my husband and I rejoined our old club.  We left about a year ago because we moved 30 minutes away.  We’re back!  It turns out that there wasn’t a better place for us closer, for that price.  We love our club.  It’s got tennis for my husband and  lots of fun things for me like swimming, water aerobics classes, Zumba, and yoga.  And of course those yucky old weights I should be lifting.  We signed up again last weekend and we’ve been nearly every day!  My goal is to go every day but at the very least: Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.  Wish us luck!

OK.  How to explain this.  We watch a lot of tv.  And movies.  We hang out on the couch a lot.  When a good song comes on tv, like a commercial or the Law & Order theme song, we do something I like to call couch dancing. Of course, I’m the one who starts it.  I look  at my husband and start bouncing up and down dancing to the beat while seated.  And he usually joins in.  Not all the time.  He likes to feign reluctance.  Couch dancing is the silliest and most fun thing ever.  It ‘s hard not to laugh while doing it.  For those of you who are scared, intimidated or embarrassed to dance on your feet, try couch dancing.  Chances are no one will see you and you have a lot less to lose.  It’s really quite respectable.  🙂
